Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance Shared Services, the Finance Manager will lead the finance team to perform their daily tasks and resolve all issues relating to finance, sales and administrative matters in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan offices.

Position Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage day-to-day financial operations within the region; validating operating expenses, invoicing, inventory purchases, third party warehouse expenses, payroll and other transactions in the general ledger
• Participate in annual budget planning, quarterly forecast and monthly update
• Consolidate and coordinate month end closings and uploading of financial results onto HFM
• Prepare monthly funding request, global nettings and settlement of intercompany accounts
• Prepare monthly Debit Notes and shared cost allocations to business units and reconcile interco balances
• Review, monitor and maintain standard cost and purchase price variance for Hong Kong and China
• Tracking of business units' financial performance to identify variances and areas for potential improvement; maintain provisions, accruals and release of FIFO variance reserve to expenses
• Assist business units in monitoring their annual budgets and quarterly forecast; provide monthly financial reports with actual results comparing to their budgets
• Participate in monthly finance scrub call with Corporate Finance team
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports to Corporate including computation of HK corporate tax, VAT in China and Taiwan and prepare quarterly tax reports under OneSource
• Work closely with external and internal auditors to ensure for accurate financial reporting and compliance with local regulatory legislation and GAAP
• Oversee Finance and Administration department employees in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures under Corporate’s policies guidance
• Develop, maintain, review and update financial processes to ensure that they are aligned with generally accepted accounting principles and local legislation
• Resolve daily issues involving accounting, A/R collections. A/P, cash and assist Logistics and Customer Service with billing, purchase and inventory issues

Experience:

• Degree holder in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent
• Qualified Accountant, ACCA, HKICPA is desirable but not a must
•  5-8 years solid accounting experience with 2-3 years of supervisory experience

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
• Experience in Oracle HFM, NAV, OneSource will be an advantage
• Business and commercial focused
• Strong management and organizational skill with attention to details
• Ability to communicate with all levels across the company in English, Putonghua and Cantonese
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; independent and self-motivated
• Ability to embrace corporate values with strong team spirit
