Job Description

The Magnetic Asia marketing team operates as an event marketing agency, and executes the marketing activities for Magnetic Asia’s festival, concert and ticketing brands and provides marketing services to third party event organisers in Hong Kong and Singapore. The team’s capability covers market analysis, marketing plan development, PR management and media liaison, content and creative development, paid digital marketing, social media marketing and performance evaluation.

 

Magnetic Asia Marketing Manager

 

As the Marketing Manager, you will manage a small and passionate marketing team. Your primary responsibility is the planning, management and execution of internal and third-party marketing projects. You will keep clients and stakeholders informed of progress, projects on-track and teams healthy. You will develop and execute marketing plans that include deliverables and KPIs, but are flexible enough to allow room for change.

 

You are: 

  • An experienced marketing professional with 7+ years of experience working on marketing projects in the events or entertainment industry. Hong Kong experience is preferred, and PRC marketing experience is a plus.
  • A great manager, with a passion for developing and supporting your team to achieve excellent results.
  • A strong communicator, who is comfortable presenting to senior personnel, interacting with media and clearly directing team members.
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese and can read and write English and Chinese. Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
  • A degree holder with a major in marketing or a related field.

You will: 

  • Identify opportunities to grow the business with existing and potential clients, including defining the scope of services, planning and managing manpower and resources, and creating contract for the projects.
  • Undertaking marketing analysis for business opportunities and projects, including identifying trends, opportunities, risks and developing recommendations.
  • Managing projects within client expectations and goals, while meeting company goals and managing to agreed budgets.
  • Leading the planning, development and implementation of effective marketing and PR strategies and campaigns for the projects.
  • Coordinating and/or manage the delivery of marketing projects from initial concept to production and execution, including the documentation, coordination and reporting on objectives, tasks, deliverables and KPIs.
  • Budget planning and oversight for projects, including keeping accurate budget records.
  • Analysing potential strategic partner relationships for projects.
  • Regular interaction with key stakeholders, including other business units, clients, contractors, sponsors, and media to ensure effective project execution and identify potential delays, issues and variances, and to build and maintain good relationships with them.
  • Presents regular updates to CMO.
  • Supports the CMO to deliver key company objectives and initiatives.
  • Prepares marketing reports, presentations and communications as required.
