Department of Supply Chain and Information Management (Ref: SRA – APM (SCM-FDS14/E07/18) 2019-03-29)

The appointee, in the functional title of Assistant Project Manager, will assist in conducting research and development projects.  He/She will be mainly responsible for analysing research data, developing models, carrying out simulations, drafting research documents, organizing research activities, and communicating and collaborating with local and overseas parties.

Applicants should possess:

• a recognized degree, MPhil or MSc or above, in Operations Research, Computer, Statistics, Systems Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline;
• at least two years of working experience in research or industry practice;
• knowledge on mathematical modelling and experience on using MATLAB, CPLEX, Python or similar simulation tools will be advantageous;
• high interest in research and development;  
• self-motivated attitude and good time-management skills; and
• the ability to work under pressure, tight schedule and dynamic requirements.
