The Job:

The Server Engineer will assist the IT Team to implement infrastructure projects and provide support in architecture design by integrating the current application services into the new infrastructure platform. Assist Project Manager and technical support team to provide technical consultancy and resolve escalated technical issue of desktop support service in Hong Kong.

• Assist Project Manager to implement IT infrastructure projects & set up IT platform align with IT infrastructure strategy
• Review regularly the current infrastructure and recommend roadmap of services migration and enhancement
• Coordinate with solution vendors to arrange proof of concept prototype to find out the best design to improve the infrastructure efficiency
• Improve the operation efficiency by replacing the obsolete services with better product technologies
• Act as the second level support to assist technical support team to provide IT services to end users
• Provide robust and reliability IT platform to support desktop support service
• Evaluate solutions to harden security protection of our services
• Work with information security team to set up and deploy security hardenings
• Follow Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) to follow up outstanding security operation task
• Provide infrastructure support and server support service to users
• Regularly review and update documents of infrastructure setup and operation procedure

Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Professional qualification in CCNA / MCSE / CCSE / ITIL / PMP will be an advantage
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in IT infrastructure project and operations
• Solid experience to manage large-scale IT infrastructure (e.g. multi data centre and user offices) including cloud technology, mobility solution, server/storage, virtualization, LAN/WAN, system monitoring, disaster recovery, etc.
• Hands on experience in infrastructure products, e.g. VMWare, Citrix, Linux, Microsoft (AD/DNS/Exchange/SQL), Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, Office365), IBM/HP Server, IBM/EMC/HDS/HP SAN storage, infrastructure monitoring (Solarwind), Backup Tools (BackupExec, Veeam), System management tools (SCCM/LANDesk) & etc.
• Hands on experience in operation processes, e.g. service request, incident request, change process & etc.
• Hands on experience in automation tools, e.g. Batch, vbscript, PowerShell & etc.
• Experience in leading support team and VIP support service in large corporation
• Experience in managing service providers
• Good team player & strong in project management & able to communicate with all levels stakeholder
• Willing to work under pressure & provide support in non-office hour when necessary
• Good interpersonal and presentation skill
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
• Fast learner on new technology and willing to take challenge
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Infrastructure Analyst
