Job Objective:  

This role is to contribute to deliver the clarification and interpretation of accounting policy and accounting standards requirements of IFRS17, providing technical accounting advice to the IFRS17 project team.

Job Description:

• Assist in ensuring technical accounting lens is applied when financial systems and process changes are designed, tested and implemented in preparation for the new standard.
• Support in producing IFRS 17 technical papers and accounting policy documents for Steering Committee review and approval
• Work closely with IM local markets to understand the preferences and various aspects of the standards.
• Participate in discussion and assessment of the project scope and expectation to construct the new CoAs design and development in Oracle.

Requirement:

• CPA or equivalent qualification with 3+ more year’s relevant post qualification experience in financial accounting/reporting
• A strong understanding of accounting principles and technical accounting standard requirements
• Good understanding and interpretation of insurance company financial statements
• Sound knowledge of financial control practices, processes and discipline
• Strong communication skills
• Highly organised and details oriented
