Job Description – Director of Finance

Our company is a Hong Kong based premium auto dealer group with locations in Guangdong and other select Chinese cities. We are seeking a Director of Finance that will be responsible for treasury and related internal controls for the company.

This is a hands-on leadership position within our organization and the successful candidate will report directly to the CFO. The overall mandate of this candidate is work with the CFO to help lead, plan and manage the overall treasury and internal controls function to support the growth of our organization. 

Position will be based in Hong Kong and expected travel to PRC (primarily day trips to Guangdong) will be ~25%.

Main job activities

1. Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment

2. Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements

3. Assists with arrangement for equity and debt financing activities

4. Monitor the activities of third parties handling outsourced treasury functions on behalf of the company

5. Advise management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning

6. Oversee internal allocation of cash

7. Maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities

8. Work with controller with optimizing financial reporting

9. Other activities as directed by CFO

    

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the position will have a Bachelor degree. You ideally will be qualified accountant with 7-10 years of work experience from Big 4 or Hong Kong listed companies and PRC work environment. Successful candidate must have extensive knowledge of financial forecast, treasury control and experience with managing banking relations. Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin is essential. You need to be a self-starter and a team player who can effectively communicate with all levels across the organization.
