Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed control assessments and test works across multiple banking, asset management, securities brokerage and other financial institutions’ functions and processes
• Perform independent assessment on adequacy of internal control and compliance control system and identify the control weaknesses for improvement
• Manage the risk identification process including evaluating and testing of business processes and related controls
• Maintain a good working relationship with clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform services
• Work closely with Grant Thornton managers and partners to promptly identify and resolve client problems or issues

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
• Relevant professional qualifications preferred (e.g. CPA/CIA)
• 2-5 years’ experience in external or internal audit field with sizeable accounting firms/companies; experience in banking, securities, insurance or financial institution is preferred (Applicant with less experiences will be considered as Senior Associate)
• Basic knowledge of products and services provided within, banking, asset management business, securities brokerage or other financial services business (Applicant with less experiences will be considered as Senior Associate)
• Basic knowledge of applicable laws and regulatory requirements relating to banking, asset management, securities brokerage and other financial services businesses (Applicant with less experiences will be considered as Senior Associate)
• Be a team player; with good analytical, risk assessment and report writing skills
• Strong communications skills including presentations and report writing with a good command of verbal and written English and Chinese
• Mature, independent and with strong interpersonal skills
• Be willing to travel
