Job Description

As the ethical sourcing analyst (6-month contract) in Asia Pacific, you are supporting the operation of ethical sourcing online system and new supplier intake process to facilitate the assessment process and factory remediation. Assists in managing components of various training programs to suppliers and other cross-functional projects to tackle key issues in our supply chains. Works with sourcing leads and suppliers to analyze complex data and develop analytical insights.

As ethical sourcing analyst (6-month contract), you will:

  • Assists in managing components of various training programs to suppliers and other cross-functional projects (e.g. Supplier Summit) to tackle key issues in our supply chains.
  • Leads the daily operation and administration of ethical sourcing online system to track, analyze and report on assessment status and performance of suppliers.
  • Supports ethical sourcing intake process to ensure suppliers and sourcing leads have access to the necessary information on verification programs and tools in facilitating approval process and corrective action plan management.
  • Facilitates communication on assessment scheduling, reporting and corrective action plan management with Starbucks appointed 3rd party monitoring companies.
  • Ensures zero tolerance or other potential issues impacting to the Company are escalated, resolved and documented within designated time frame.
  • Supports to analyzes complex data and market industry information from multiple sources to assist the development of strategic ethical sourcing recommendations.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Desirable experience of needs assessment, auditing and remediation approaches – 2 years
  • Analytical, planning, coordination, ethical sourcing or other relevant experience – 2 years
  • Experience managing the activities of external consultants – 2 years
  • Facilitating cross-functional group projects - 2 years
  • Degree related to human resources, environmental science, industrial engineering, supply chain management or another relevant field or equivalent working experience.
  • Good analytical skills and system knowledge - to operate ethical sourcing online platform and analyze data by using MS office and advanced Excel
  • Good interpersonal skills – to establish cross-functional partnership in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Good English and Mandarin – to communicate with suppliers and sourcing leads from US, China and other Asian countries, both written and oral
  • Knowledge on supply chain or procurement is a plus
