About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Public Affairs passionate to transform our local neighborhood malls into community hubs via public relations and community engagement initiatives. You’ll have an opportunity to carry out various public relations and community engagement initiatives targeting different community shopping centers across different districts in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will be a strong executor and team player who pays attention to detail and is open to new ideas and able to think strategically and creatively. Having a demonstrated track record of experience in public affairs / corporate social responsibility is a plus. A keen sense of ownership and speedy execution is a must.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute media relations, government affairs and community engagement activities that will drive positive brand awareness and impact of the shopping centers.
  • Monitor traditional and online media, identify issues of concern and handle requests, enquiries and complaints from various stakeholders, such as district councilors, legislators, government officials, media and residents.
  • Manage the compilation and production of corporate publications, from content development, layout design to delivery.
  • Support to launch, monitor and execute community engagement activities and measure their social impact.
  • Support internal communication around community engagement activities.
  • Perform other public affairs and community engagement duties as and when required.

 

Requirements:

  • Preferably degree holder in public relations, advertising, communications, journalism, social science or language related subjects.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in public relations / public affairs / corporate social responsibility / communications.
  • A self-starter with strong ownership, creativity, and great passion for local neighborhoods in Hong Kong.
  • Experience in copywriting and production of publications and videos.
  • Responsible, collaborative, independent with excellent communication, interpersonal skills and adaptability in working with different personalities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Having strong relationships with reporters / editors / broadcasters / KOLs / bloggers / non-profit organizations / social entrepreneurs / community organizers is a plus.
  • Good sense of politics and current affairs.
  • Outstanding Chinese and English writing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office application, including PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing.

* Candidate with more substantial relevant experience will be considered as Manager – Public Affairs.
