Our client, a well-established bank, is now seeking an experienced candidate to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of trade finance operations staff processing all types of trade finance products for export and import financing
• Act as in-house technical expert on trade finance matters
• Act as Trade Finance Product Manager and work with business and marketing teams to design and develop competitive products and services
• Manage process improvement projects to streamline work flows and procedures
• Manage system changes involving design, testing and implementation
• Handle management and regulatory reporting on the bank's trade finance portfolio
• Exercise controls to comply with internal and HKMA requirements
• Conduct joint marketing calls with relationship managers for business solicitation from existing and new customers
• Manage Middle Office to exercise controls for risk management of the portfolio
• Liaise with business, marketing, control and risk units for new products development and product enhancements

Requirements:

• University degree or above
• Strong knowledge of all aspects of trade finance operations
• Strong people management and communications skills
• Strong personal integrity and control mind set
• Strong service quality, control and process improvement skills
• Leadership quality on process, people and service excellence
• Sound knowledge of bank operations with at least 15 years in trade finance operations, with at least 5 years at senior manager/supervisor level
• Excellent communications and presentation skills at all levels of the organization up to chief executive, credit committee and board level
• Excellent written and communication skills in both English and Chinese
• In-depth knowledge of international trade finance practices as well as local practices
• Good knowledge of AML requirements applicable to trade finance operations

• Expert knowledge of trade finance operations and practice, products and services, rules and regulations is a must including the latest international trade finance rules and regulations e.g. ICC Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP 600)
• Knowledge of information technology applications such as scanning and workflow management for process improvement is an advantage
