Our client, a well-established bank, is now seeking an experienced candidate to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage 4 teams of staff under CCD
• Provide operational support to branch network and other internal units on account opening, record management & custody, and control functions.
• Control the Bank’s customer database and ensure validity, accuracy and timeliness of input and update.
• Exercise control on support functions including autopay services, chequebook production, pin generation, dormant account activation and audit confirmations.    
• Ensure timely internal reporting/external replies to enquires from government bodies.
• Streamline workflow and exercise quality control on key tasks of the department.
• Coordinate with ITD to enhance systems and workflows to cope with changing requirements of the bank/regulators/market practices.
• Oversee the daily activities to ensure proper control and timely response.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies by all staff e.g. PDPO.
• Compile and update procedure manuals of the department from time to time.
• Cultivate a team work environment within the department and promote staff to work as a cohesive unit with common goals.

Requirements:

• University degree holder in banking & finance or equivalent
• In depth understanding of bank operations, internal controls and service delivery.
• Strong knowledge of local inter-bank settlement operations e.g. HKICL
• At least 10 years of banking experience of which 5 years in managerial level
• Excellent skills in communication, presentation, problem solving, interpersonal and team building.
• Strong sense of responsibility
• Personal integrity
• Strong project management skills on systems design, testing and implementation
• Strong people management skills

• Sound knowledge of retail branch operations, Clearing House/ inter-bank payment/settlement process in Hong Kong is a must
• Knowledge of information technology applications such as scanning and workflow management for process improvement is an advantage
