for the position of

Head of Trade Services Department

 MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all aspects of trade finance operations with over 70 staff processing all types of trade finance products for export and import financing

Liaise with business, marketing, control and risk units for new products development and product enhancements

Manage process improvement projects to streamline work flows and procedures

Manage system changes involving design, testing and implementation

Handle management and regulatory reporting on the bank's trade finance portfolio

Exercise controls to comply with internal and HKMA requirements

Act as Trade Finance Product Manager and work with business and marketing teams to design and develop competitive products and services

Conduct joint marketing calls with relationship managers for business solicitation from existing and new customers

Manage Middle Office to exercise controls for risk management of the portfolio

Act as in-house technical expert on trade finance matters

 INCUMBENT’S REQUIREMENTS

University degree or above

Strong knowledge of all aspects of trade finance operations

Strong people management and communications skills

Strong personal integrity and control mind set

Strong service quality, control and process improvement skills

Leadership quality on process, people and service excellence

Sound knowledge of bank operations with at least 15 years in trade finance operations, with at least 5 years at senior manager/supervisor level 

Excellent communications and presentation skills at all levels of the organization up to chief executive, credit committee and board level

Excellent written and communication skills in both English and Chinese

In-depth knowledge of international trade finance practices as well as local practices

Good knowledge of AML requirements applicable to trade finance operations
