Job Description
The School of Continuing Education (SCE) is one of the Faculties/Schools of the University. The School, operating on a self-financed basis, offers a wide range of full-time and part-time programmes in various academic disciplines and professional areas.
Applications are invited for the position of Part-time Lecturers for the full-time Bachelor of Nutrition and Food Sciences (Food Sciences) programme offered in collaboration with University of South Australia for the May 2019 trimesters of 2018-2019 academic year:

(1) Food Processing and Manufacturing
(2) Functional Foods, Nutraceuticals and Medicines
(3) Product Development and Food Analysis

Semester Duration
The Programme is offered on a trimester basis with individual courses commencing in the months of September, January and May. Each course will normally last for about 4 months.
Requirements

Applicants should possess at least a Master’s degree, preferably a PhD degree, in relevant discipline, and have substantial teaching experience at tertiary level. Competence to use English as the medium of instruction is required.

For (1), solid knowledge of the principles of food unit operations is required, and experience in food industry is desired.

For (2), knowledge of characterization and mechanisms of bioactive components in foods on disease prevention is required, and knowledge of regulatory requirements is preferred.

For (3), solid technical knowledge of food analysis using GC, AA and HPLC is required, and experience in food industry/ preparation is desired.
