Job Objective:  

This person will be responsible for building distributed components, systems, and tools that will power the data and analytics capabilities within Cigna Hong Kong. This role will be at the intersection of health and analytics and will be focused on helping the teams evolve from a data and analytics perspective. As a member of the team you will spend your time designing and growing the current data infrastructure and enhancing the velocity at which the organization leverages and gets value out of the data.

Job Description:

• Manage and implement the technical roadmap of the analytics function within Cigna Hong Kong
• Deliver the Hong Kong data lake, set up infrastructure to support ingestion of data from multiple data sources, and ensure the data science and analytics teams have the infrastructure they need to be able to move at a rapid pace
• Build ETL pipeline and manage the ETL development process including but not limited to requirement gathering from business units, data mapping, quality testing and programming code development
• Design and implement data warehouse architecture
• Collaborate with multiple teams to identify opportunities to manage data and provide solutions for complex data feeds within organization
• Implement strategies for data warehouse additions and enhancement
• Manage and lead a small to medium sized data projects
• Act as an internal expert in each of the data sources to own overall data quality

Requirement:

• At least 3-6 years of relevant experience in high data volume environments, degree holder in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Engineering or a related discipline
• MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field is ideal
• Hands on experience in gathering technical and business requirements, data mapping, ETL development and Data Warehousing
• Strong experience in the setup and implementation of cloud infrastructure
• Strong  system analytical skill and architectural design ability of robust distributed systems
• Demonstrated superior performance in prior roles with increasing levels of responsibility and independence; demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and solve complex problems
• Strong multi-tasking abilities, flexibility and good team player
• Passion for data and business intelligence and an interest in moving towards big data, cloud and advanced analytics projects
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English a must
• Proficiency with Python, noSQL and SQL environments
• Experience with Java or API integrations is a plus
• Experience with open sourced technologies – Kafka, Hadoop, Hive
• Experience with BI tools such as Tableau and Looker is a plus
• Prior project management experience will be highly preferred
