Job Responsibilities:

• Support the Manager to create underwriting plans and managing risk exposures through limits and reinsurances
• Review, analyze and underwrite Motor, Property and Casualty Insurance products
• Conduct regular reviews to implement underwriting plans, reconcile and report all premiums to exercise credit control
• Manage premiums against budget to ensure adherence with business plan, and review exception reports to ensure compliance
• Identify future business opportunities, prepare business proposals and presentations, produce a clear underwriting strategy and implement strategies within the agreed business plan
• Establish and maintain good working relationship with brokers and other producers in order to optimize business opportunities
• Identify team training requirements and co-ordinate development plans

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder
• Professional Insurance qualification such as ANZIIF qualification
• 5 years’ or above experience in underwriting and servicing broker produced Motor, Property and Casualty insurance products preferred; Candidate with 3 years’ experience will be considered as Underwriter
• Mature, independent, self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication and management skills
• Proactive, sales oriented, assertive and result driven
• Well knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Cantonese, proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage
