To support our continued growth, we are currently looking for a dynamic candidate to fill the following position in Hong Kong:

Senior Product Creation Manager

Overview of Role

The main duties of the role will be to lead the product creation process for one of our product categories (mobility, power, soft goods, cables) and be the team leader for the rest of the product creation team. This will require close communication with our global business units and regional product and business managers. It will also require improving processes for the business and ensuring all team members are working in the defined manner.  This role will report to the General Manager of the region but will work closely with the head of brand management in Germany and the product and sourcing team in HK/China.

Responsibilities:

• Manage creation and development process for new products or adaptation/customizing of existing products (in time and quality)
• Ensure all customer requirements are met throughout product life cycle
• Be the product expert for your category
• Managing IC process for product creation and data flow

• Lead Product Creation process for team and define areas for improvement
• Align manufacturing capabilities with overall business goals
• Create product that is fit for purpose and meets regulatory requirements and quality standards and customer expectations
• Maintaining all product information in ERP and product systems

Requirements:

• 7 years of experience in product and project management
• Very good technical understanding with the ability to manage suppliers as well as decide about feasibility as well as duration of upcoming projects
• Experience with electronic accessories a major plus
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience in managing a small team a plus
• Demonstrable success in conducting negotiations
• Persistence and assertiveness to find the best option
• Very good analytical skills to be able to see risks early and manage them
• Experience in working with globally located teams/colleagues/partners
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Based in Hong Kong with frequent travel to Chinese suppliers
• Experience using Office 365 tools a plus
