Job Description

 Role Overview

  • You will be the business leader accountable for the definition of the entry strategy of new brands in the Asian markets.
  • You will own responsibility for market understanding, scoping, to make business case & business plan approval (Entry strategy, channel strategy, portfolio strategy, P&L) by senior management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Own Geographic Expansion for Europe

  • Own new market entry strategy for the SWISSE brand (and other H&H brands) in new Geographies across South Eastern Asia and North Eastern Asia from landscape assessment to business case approval.
    • Countries: 1. Thailand, 2. Malaysia, 3. Indonesia, 4. South Korea, 5. Taiwan
    • Further market opportunities to be aligned with the company’s management team.
  • Assess market landscape and recommend entry strategy to the company’s management team including:
    • Consumer target
    • Channel strategy
    • Segment strategy & product portfolio
    • Pricing strategy
    • Supply chain set-up including CM, 3PL, logistics.
    • Legal entity
    • Market research incl. consumer profile definition, brand concept validation, market data analysis etc.
  • Support the local market for the development of all marketing deliverables including but not limited to:
    • Full consumer profile and subsequent media strategy including digital strategy for the brands.
    • Marketing Launch plan design & delivery up to start of shipment working hand in hand with customer plan.
    • Screen, validate global Brand ambassadors and local brand ambassador/influencer to be leveraged in new markets.
    • Holistic launch toolkit across all touchpoints (TV, Instore, Digital, etc.).
    • Professional marketing plan & assets as required
    • Aligning & adapting global packaging design for new markets incl. claims & product positioning in collaboration with Regulatory Affairs.

 Provide multifunctional team leadership to the Geographic expansion team

  • Provide clear vision and directions to the multifunctional team supporting the launch
  • Support local marketing team & PMO team as needed.
  • Provide direction to the company’s senior management as to how to best enter new markets and guarantee successful brand introduction in the new markets. In the meantime, understand senior management’s vision for the group and brand and secure develop new market entry proposal that is consistent with the set vision & objectives.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the Global innovation teams on product development, campaign development and global ambassador selection to validate fit with new market expansion territories.

 

 Skills & Attributes:

  • A strategic mind able to envision multiple paths to market, analyse pros & cons and able to select that with highest likelihood of success and highest possible return.
  • Strong leadership to drive clear direction and action in the multifunctional team supporting you but also to influence the company’s management team.
  • Excellent communicator both verbal and written keen to drive engagement & strong collaboration across functions, business units & geographies.
  • Ability to envision new ways and new launch models and courage to embrace them to produce disruptive launches in the market place.
  • Proven Marketing mastery across all touch points.

 

 Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Marketing & Sales at multinational FMCG companies, with proven track record in strategic and operational marketing.
  • International experience across multiple markets in South Eastern Asia a definitive plus.
  • A rounder commercial leader with experience in P/L management, Customers & consumer understanding.
  • Experience in Consumer Health & Wellness categories is needed, supplements a strong plus. Experience of pharmacist channels is a strong plus.
  • Experience with in new product development & innovation programs.
  • Passionate about a happy & healthy lifestyle.
  • Fast paced, energetic & flexible.
  • Strong presentation & analytical skills.
  • Flexible for travelling (30%).
  • Excellent command of spoken & written English.
