Job Description
Syft Technologies are expanding our international presence by opening a new office in Singapore to support our customers based in Southeast Asia. We are seeking multiple Support Engineers to kick-start our Singapore based team.
Key tasks for a Support Engineer can include:
- Providing technical expertise and advice to customers both online and at each customer’s workplace.
- Installing instruments at customer sites and assisting with customer training.
- Responding to customer enquiries (related to hardware, software and scientific application) and support requests.
- Performing repairs and modifications to customer’s instruments.
- Assisting with the marketing and sale of instruments as required.
- Liaising with the head office in New Zealand to ensure quality outcomes for our customers.
These include a mixture of both hands-on technical work, alongside a high degree of analytical thinking and problem-solving. These roles require a large amount of chemistry/scientific knowledge to be able to understand each customer’s use case and the technical
make-up of the instrument.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have a degree in chemistry (preferred) or a similar subject such as chemical engineering or environmental engineering.
- Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Have an excellent attention to detail.
- Have a can-do-will-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Be comfortable working through complex problems.
A high level of English is required for this role, and proficiency in other languages will be viewed favourably.
These are permanent, full-time roles, based at the Syft Technologies office in Singapore (office location to be finalised). Successful candidates will play key roles in establishing the Singapore office and our expansion in SE Asia. You'll be given responsibility
quickly, and have plenty of opportunities to make your mark in our rapidly growing technology company.
You’ll be required to travel to our head office in New Zealand for new employee training, and there is likely to be further international travel.
