Job Description

This Director position sits in one of our account teams in Advisory specialising in banking transformation's focus and will provide advice to clients on how to drive their business operations from customer activities to back office services and compliance, while creating significant value through high quality delivery.
Responsibilities
- The position is based in Hong Kong, and will act as a focal point of the account across the ASPAC region. Where necessary, this role will work together with its counterpart in the UK and globally
- Specific responsibilities include helping clients to:
- Embed operational excellence and drive quality and efficiency
- Drive growth through traditional and disruptive channels
- Optimise their operations to achieve top management's strategy
- Architect and implement new operating models to address cost pressures while meeting external and internal customer expectations
- Consider how to leverage on other available technologies to deliver a better experience
- Manage the innovation process to capitalise on market disruption and uncertainty
Our Banking Transformation Advisory projects are rarely standalone and the successful candidate will need to work with capabilities and solutions drawn from across broader KPMG teams.
Experience
- University graduate with a minimum of ten years’ experience
- A subject matter expert candidates with good consulting skills as well as hands-on execution experience
- Excellent industry knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: Banking, Securities, Asset Management
- In-depth experience delivering projects in one or more of the following: Banking Operations Optimization and Transformation, Target Operating Model design and implementation, Digitalisation and Robotics
- Strong expertise in Corporate / Retail Banking Customer Services
- Ability to take on and effectively manage multiple business-critical activities and tasks
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with flexibility to adapt to senior stakeholders’ different working styles
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment, through adopting techniques and frameworks to create structure where it doesn't exist
- Experience in a professional services organisation an advantage
- Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and MS office suite is essential
- Dynamic, self-motivated and able to multi-task and work under pressure
- Fluency in English is essential for this role
- Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese preferred
