About the Team

Deposit & Remittance Section is responsible for handling cash & deposit functions including cheques transactions, foreign exchange of foreign cash transactions, controlling and maintaining cashflow of the branch.

 

Role requirements

  • Manage customers’ cash transactions including foreign currencies, within authorized holding and payment limit;
  • Monitor tellers’ counter transactions covering cash, cheque and internal transfer transactions and approving related transactions;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by superiors including but not limited to provide cross support to Remittance units;
  • Report any incident, money laundry and drug trafficking transactions;
  • Support planning of team development.

 

Essential Functions

  • The individual handles approval for counter transactions to ensure compliance with internal rules & regulations
  • He/she performs monitor intraday branch cash position and arrange necessary cash movement with cash service provider
  • The individual balances cash total and outward clearing cheque total at day end
  • He/she would enhance workflow effectiveness & efficiency

Work experience, education and skills

  • Bachelor Degree or above preferably majoring in banking, finance or accounting;
  • At least 6 years experience in cash room operation with track record of handling foreign currencies and managing team member;
  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Cantonese
  • Good command in spoken Mandarin would be an advantage 
  • Good command of PC skills including MS office, data analysis and report formulation.
