This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

The incumbent is responsible for the safety supervision of civil and building works to ensure that the works are properly built in accordance with specified requirements for materials and workmanship in a safe and timely manner. 

Responsibilities:

• Providing technical advice on overall management and supervision of safety and health aspects for all construction projects;
• Acting as a safety advisor and promoting a safe and healthy work environment among staff;
• Monitoring contractors’ safety performance; and
• Proactively resolving safety related issues and mitigating potential hazards in an effective and efficient manner.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with professional qualification in Engineering or other related disciplines
• Member of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (MIOSH) or other related safety association is preferred
• Registered Safety Officer (RSO) with the Labour Department and completion of formal training on Safety Auditor
• At least 10 years’ experience in large multi-disciplinary construction projects, of which a minimum of 6 years post RSO experience in the field of safety and health within the construction industry
• Well versed with occupational safety and health legislations and practices
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• Holder of a valid HK driving license (Class 1, 2) is preferred
