Reporting into the Director of Financial in UK

The Financial Controller is responsible for management of all financial and accounting functions of the property including the Food and Beverage outlets.

• Responsible for the monthly financial reporting which includes preparation of financial statements, detailed forecasts and cash forecasts
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data in accordance with the most current Edition of the Uniform System of Accounts and company standards
• Responsible for implementing controls and the financial reporting during the pre-opening /development phase
• Prepare and file all tax returns and reports
• Coordinate, manage and monitor all aspects of cash management procedures
• Maintain and monitor renewal of contracts, licenses, and insurance policies
• Work closely with the GM and other executives to promote best practices and create operational efficiencies
• Ensure protection of company assets in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable local laws and regulations 
• Hire and coach departmental employees and issue progressive discipline when required
• Conduct performance reviews in a timely manner
• Participate and provide oversight over the F & B operation controls including purchasing, inventories and labor management
• Coordinate monthly finance meetings
• Prepare, coordinate and manage budget and forecast process for all outlets
• Prepare and coordinate annual external and internal audits

What we look for…

• Must be fluent in Chinese and English
• University degree (2.1 or higher) – preferably in Accounting of Finance
• A fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
• Familiar with Flex, CONCUR, Opera and Micros
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a hotel/resort controller
• Knowledge and proficiency using standard accounting software
• Proficient user of MS Office applications
• Detailed knowledge of payroll processes
• Strong supervisory, managerial, development and coaching skills required
• Excellent leadership skills demonstrating adaptability, flexibility and team building
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
