Job purpose

Providing support to the General Audit Team in managing audits for Hong Kong, overseas branches and subsidiaries especially in Treasury and Financial Management Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Team Head to conduct regular and adhoc audits, reviews and investigations, and deliver audit work as per the standards of the Audit Manual.
• Conduct internal audit of designated areas, focusing on Treasury & Markets and related activities, Financial Control and Management, Market and Liquidity Risk Management, Treasury Credit Risk Management, ICAAP, Financial Instrument Fair Valuation, Stress Testing, Counterparty Credit Risk Management, regulatory audits relating to these areas and any other audits as assigned.
• Evaluate internal controls of auditable units, assist audit team to prepare regular or specific risk assessments, audit plans, audit reports and presentation to the Group/ Bank’s senior management and Audit Committee.
• Assure the quality of audit work of team members and act as the contact point in communication and coordination in relation to the designated audits.
• Track and validate the completion of management remedial actions taken in mitigating the risks raised in audit findings.
• Keep abreast of regulatory updates, business development initiatives and risk exposures for continuous risk assessment, assist to review and recommend changes in audit programs according to internal and external requirements. Socialize major regulatory changes and business development initiatives with the audit team.
• Optimize current resources utilization by enhancing team members’ efficiency in delivering audit work.
• Provide advisory service on risk and internal control issues to business and functional units as directed by the Chief Auditor.
• Comply with legal and regulatory standards, the Bank's Code of Conduct, Compliance Manual and other policies, guidelines and procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or related disciplines
• Minimum 4 years’ internal audit / external audit/ risk management/ financial management/ treasury related experience in banking industry
• Previous experience in treasury / financial control / risk management / regulatory audits will be an advantage
• Preferably with qualified accountant or other relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CPA, CIA, ACAMS, FRM, CFA)
