Our client, an index provider is looking for the candidate for their team expansion in Corporate Actions team with the following details: 

Duties

• Handle the research and implementation of corporate actions in capital stocks, IPOs, M&A activities, dividend payments, stock splits etc. 
• Manage data incl. sourcing, cleansing and organizing of corporate events, reference and ownership data
• Communicate with customers and 3rd party providers of corporate actions 
• Research different listed asset classes and overall markets, research on index specific topics 
• Develop and test new tools, for technical development new applications 
• Document processing and workflow with other team 
• Indentify and develop improvements for the data quality and stability (inc. accuracy, completeness, coverage and timeliness) 
• Provide effective 2nd level incident support and resolution for data matters and fix daily quality issue
• Handle direct client requests and data collection 

Requirements

• University graduate in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent subjects
• 1 – 2 years experience in financial institutes, preferable index business, portfolio business, product development or structuring (Fresh graduate will also be considered)
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, financial information and market good understanding of corporate actions impacts on index
• Experience in corporate actions research, index operations, securities and listed companies operation, processing rules and techniques is a plus
• Good knowledge of market data applications such as Reuters, Bloomberg etc. 
• Good knowledge in MS Office Applications incl. MS VBA for Excel and MS Access, databases and SQL, knoledge of Python is a plus 
• Abel to work under pressure and meet tight headline
• Able to handle multi-tasking and work closely with other team
