Job Description

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT OFFICE

Assistant Facilities Officer (MVAC) (Ref. 19041613-E5)

Duties

The appointee will report to the Technical Services Section and be required to:

(a) lead a team of skilled front-line staff to provide MVAC and BS installation and maintenance services as well as arrange all necessary follow up/remedial works;

(b) assist in the planning and implementation of repair, maintenance, alterations and additions works;

(c) liaise with contractors and supervise the implementation of scheduled works;

(d) follow up job orders and monitor the progress and quality of work performed by both internal technical staff and external contractors;

(e) plan and carry out routine checking and inspection of premises;

(f) perform shift duties including working on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays; and

(g) handle any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised certificate/diploma in a related discipline plus relevant work experience in mechanical and MVAC installations;

(b) sound knowledge of the operation of the facilities management industry; and

(c) good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preference will be given to those with the knowledge of the occupational health and safety.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
