Our client is a publicly listed property investment, management and development company in Hong Kong with a large portfolio in properties spanning commercial, retail and industrial asset classes. They are looking for a high calibre candidate to join them as a Quantity Surveying Manager:

Responsibilities:

• Tender and cost management for varying asset classes, including cost estimation and budget control / tender and contract administration / technical audit, etc
• Manage the appointment and performance of the QS consultants and contractors
• Deliver internal reporting and work closely across other functions such as Property, Finance and other functional departments
• Work closely with development team, project teams and engineering teams to meet cost objectives and make recommendations on improvements
• Provide direction and guidance to tactical and strategic process improvements in establishing policies/standards

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines, preferably with professional qualifications
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar capacity in large-scale construction projects and prestigious property development. Candidates with PRC experience would be at an advantage
• Excellent understanding of supplier capabilities to enable effective cost modelling and negotiations
• Excellent interpersonal, supervisory and project management skills
• Good command of English and Chinese
• Occasional travel to PRC is required
