Laboratory Technician

Job Responsibilities:

• To carry out site sampling and compliance testing of construction materials, including preparation of samples, processing of test results and preparation of test certificates/reports.
• To check and maintain the laboratory equipment.
• To assist and participate in implementing the quality system of the PWRL(TSW).
• To supervise and assist in the training of any skilled and semi-skilled staff under his/her supervision.
• To carry out any ad-hoc project assigned by his/her supervisors.
  
  

Job Requirement:

• Diploma / Higher Certificate in Civil Engg from HKP / PU, or Technical College / Institute /  Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, or equivalent
• Attained HKDSEE Level 2 or above in English Language & Chinese Language or HKCEE or equivalent
• “Grade E” in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” in the English Language and Chinese Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth
• A Diploma or Higher Certificate Programme other than Civil Engineering, which contains module(s)/subject(s) in relation to construction materials testing, may be acceptable.
