The role requires a good knowledge of design and manufacturing, creative vision and a love of play, and strong project management skills. The ideal candidate will also have great sketching ability and an eye for design.

• Ideate from a design and toy on projects in development ensuring distinctive toy concepts for each property.
• Design and develop compelling toy lines that fit within the world of the shows on our development slate.
• Take responsibility for the project management of multiple products with unique features, making each of them fantastic and fun to play with.
• Participate in and product strategy development, including creating innovative slots and rationale for existing brand.
• Come up with new ways to play with toys and love the fun moments that occur in a great play pattern.
• Liaise with external vendors, inventors and in-house resources to deliver a stream of new product concepts to supply the innovation pipeline.
• Prepare sketches of potential product ideas and concepts.

Job Requirements

• 15 years experience as a designer in the consumer goods industry, preferably with a number of years in toys.
• Good experience in managing a team of designers in product and packaging and working closely with US.
• Strong leader who can lead the concepts and make decisions on way forward.
• Proven ideation, brainstorming, concept rendering, sketching and computer skills, are essential.
• Industrial / Product Design degree or equivalent is highly desirable. 
• Strong communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
