Assistant Technical Officer (Ref. 19041208-E)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) develop and maintain systems to support institutional teaching and learning initiatives;

(b) implement website development, administration and maintenance;

(c) assist in the design and production of multimedia materials for educational development;

(d) prepare documentation for software packages;

(e) provide technical and administrative support to the Centre; and

(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Centre or her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a relevant recognised degree/diploma plus not less than three years' relevant post-qualification experience;

(b) have solid experience in mobile programming, software and web development with C#.NET, ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript and SQL;

(c) have experience and interest in mobile app development;

(d) have hands-on experience in Microsoft and Linux server administration in cloud environment;

(e) have a good command of English and Chinese;

(f) have good communication and interpersonal skills;

(g) be proactive and self-motivated; and

(h) be able to perform tasks independently.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
