Job Description

Make sport facilities booking easier in Hong Kong

 

We are sport users, passionated by sport for years and deeply convinced by the positive impact of sport on our health and well being. We are a new tech startup funded by a global sports goods company. Our ambition in Hong Kong is to facilitate access to sport and make sport facilities owners’ lives easier through technology. We are young, dynamic, entrepreneur, passionate, coming from different cultures… if this seems exciting, join us!

 

We are looking for someone with a strong technical and data mining skill set, as well as business driven and entrepreneurship mindset who is able to continuously test and learn, think out of the box to provide key business insights to the team by smart analysis of the available data (digital, business, quantitative, market research…).

Ideally, you have a 2 years experience as data analyst/web analyst in a consulting company in which you have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the growth of a business

  • Cantonese native speaker, fluent in English with good writing of traditional Chinese and English

  • Keen to learn and work transversally with different teams and leaders on several projects at the same time to contribute to the success of the company

  • Keen to develop yourself and grow in a startup environment (flexible, adaptable)

  • Resourceful problem solver, able to problem solve using data

  • Excellent communication skills: You should have a talent for asking insightful questions and giving succinct answers.

 

When joining us, you are the first data expert of the company so your mission will be as follows:

  • You will work closely with product managers and developers to ensure a best-in-class tagging & tracking throughout the digital ecosystem of Appysport. You’ll be in charge of designing and implementing tagging plan for any new feature released, and will support media campaigns tracking consistency

  • You will be able to find all the data available (digital, business, market research, CRM, advertising campaigns, external partners …) and structure it accordingly to the business needs, conducting autonomously ad hoc analysis.

  • You will proactively create weekly reports to drive better business decisions, website optimisation decisions, marketing campaign decisions…  and help understand the behaviour of our customers (churn, retention, expectations…) and their profiles (segmentation)

  • As the business model is still under construction, you are able to build financial modelling

  • You are used to working with data visualisation tools and can lead the implementation of such a tool for our company when relevant (Experience with Tableau or a similar visualization product)

  • You are sensitive to data privacy issues and will proactively advise us

  • You will spread the data culture inside the company and strongly contribute to improve the decision making process with insights based on data

  • Experience in technology companies, analytical roles is a plus

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Digital Marketing, Computer Science, IS, Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics or a related field

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Good knowledge of Google Analytics and digital marketing platforms (Facebook Business Manager, Google Adwords, etc.)

  • Good knowledge of Google Tag Manager or similar Tag Management System

  • Knowledge of at least one data visualization suite (Tableau, Google Data Studio)

  • Knowledge of Python, SQL, VBA and/or MS Access is a plus
