Job Description
THE COMPANY :

- SMART WATCH brand owner for global market
- We are looking for NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR – with details as follows :
THE JOB :
- Responsible for running a small R&D Project management team, including managing and communication project definition, development milestones, project schedules, and project status in the development of new products.
- You will work with highly skilled hardware, software, mechanical design and industrial design teams to identify and resolve potential risks to the schedule and risks to the quality of the product.
- Possess strong understanding of development and manufacturing processes-from part design to circuit board manufacturing to production line bring-up.
- Coordinate R&D activities across the global R&D organization
- Create (or ensure the creation of) overall R&D project plans
- Continue to develop and improve the project management process and use of project management tools
- Represent R&D in product project meetings; provide status updates on upcoming milestones and R&D deliverables
- Directly manage technical R&D projects
- Produce and maintain budgets for projects and for the R&D department
- Technical background; above average understanding of hardware and software development processes and techniques.
- Strong organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments,
- Must be proficient with scheduling programs (Microsoft Project)
- BSEE, BSCE or BSCS or above
- 10 years managing technical projects in an R&D setting
- Experience in smart watch is highly prefer
- Prior project management experience with embedded products or wireless products preferred
- 5+years of related technical background in Computer or Consumer Wearables preferred
- Outstanding history of delivery of products in consumer wearable industry
- Experience tracking software and hardware development activities across multiple geographies
- Previous experience as a software or hardware developer would be ideal
