Job Description:

1. To be responsible for the proper maintenanceof the physical plant, engineering facilities, and the interior and exterior of the entire hotel.

2. To be responsible for planning, organizing and overseeing the operation of the department, controlling the budget, dealing with contractor regarding quotation, contracts and arrangements for M & E works and etc.

3. To evaluate the effectiveness of the hotel maintenance works and make sure corrective actions are being taken, wherever needed promptly.

4. To overlook the installation, repair and maintenance of operation equipment, such as boilers, pumps, ventilating systems, compressors, air-conditioners, refrigerators and other cooling or warming systems.

5. To establish preventive maintenance program to assure guests and staff of a comfortable environment to stay or to work.

6. To maintain a complete filing system of drawing and specification and equipment specification manuals for all equipment contained within the hotel premises.

7. To make recommendation to the General Manager regarding the replacement of inefficient or obsolete equipment.

8. To develop a training plan for the subordinates to ensure that all staff are capable to perform their tasks satisfactorily.

    

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or equivalent.

2. Registered or Board certified Mechanical Engineer.

3. Excellent communication and analytical Skills, a proactive problem solver.

4. Detailed knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems and related refrigerants, chilled / condenser water components.

5. Have experience in managing main fire system & associated pumps, sprinkler systems and equipment, with good knowledge of local fire, pressure vessel, electrical codes and occupational safety codes.

6. Understanding of main / secondary drainage (plumbing) system; electrical power distribution system.

7. Well-developed computer Skills, particularly in the use of property management & energy management systems.

8. Able to manage a proactive preventative maintenance program.

9. Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English, multi-lingual is desirable.

10. Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience and 5-7years managing experience in hotel engineering department.

11. Formal practical technical training in M&E field preferably with diploma or degree.
