Strategically located in the Hong Kong Club Building, the HKUST Business School Central is an integral part of the School’s outreach efforts. It provides students with a unique opportunity to actively partake in the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong’s world-famous financial hub. With fully equipped classrooms, a meeting room and a lounge area, the facilities are also available to external organizations for business functions like press conferences, board meetings, training and seminars.

The HKUST Business School is looking for an Assistant Manager to manage the HKUST Business School Central. Reporting to the Head (School Development), the appointee will help to supervise a team of four to ensure effective and efficient operations of this downtown center. He/She will work at the downtown center in Central and identify areas for improvement in terms of the customer services standard and general operations in running the center. He/She is also expected to maintain existing clientele and identify new business opportunities.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business disciplines, with at least 4 years of post-qualification work experience. Relevant experience in hospitality, event management or facility management will be advantageous. Applicants should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) and a customer/service-oriented mindset. They should be a good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills. They should also be organized, responsible and able to work under high pressure, tight timeline and minimal supervision. The appointee will be required to work outside normal office hours. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
