With the investments we’ve made and growth in the firm, now is the time to be at XY Capital and we are looking for a strong candidate to join our software development team. We seek a candidate with the experience and leadership in designing and developing of market making and trading algorithms. This candidate will work with a diverse team of developers and with traders on improving trading strategy. This role will report to the CEO and will be a key member of the XY Capital staff as we continue to grow and scale.

Requirements: 

• Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years working experience in algorithmic trading environment and/or high frequency trading system development
• Proficiency in C++11/14/17
• Experience in Java/Scala/C#/Rust/Python would be a plus
• Experience in low latency architecture preferred
• Experience in Memory/CPU profiling/optimization is preferred, multi-threading development and distributed computing not a must
• Experience in using high performance messaging bus such as ZMQ, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ
• Experience in developing on the Linux platform with libraries such as BOOST and STL
• Experience with revision control tools such as Git
• Good knowledge of SQL based RDBMS
• Ability to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment
• Good command of spoken and written English

Preference for: 

• Experience in Solarflare open onload library and Linux Kernel bypass
• Knowledge in FIX/OUCH/ITCH/SBE protocol
• Knowledge in Native Market data processing
• Knowledge in Exchange Connectivity / Colocation setup
• Knowledge in NoSQL database is also a plus: Mongo, KDB+, Redis, Timescale, Cassandra
• Familiarity with Agile development using CI/CD tools such as GitLab/Jenkins/CircleCI
• Background in exchange trading at a prop firm or hedge fund
