Job Description
Our client is a global IT service provider. As a result of expansion, they are looking for a Network Management Engineer:
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system
- Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning
- To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime • Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management
- Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL development and performance tuning
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
- Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and costs
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or above in Computer Science or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Oracle, Sybase and MSSQL Database Administration experience or other RDBMS enterprise database
- Experience in managing the internal and external database security preferred
- Practical experience on installation and configuration of Veritas Cluster
- OCP 10g / 11g or MCDBA holder
- Working experience in Investment bank is an advantage
- Good command in written and spoken English
