Job Description for Benefits Analyst (Global Benefits)

Reporting to the Global Benefits Consultant

 

As a global benefits analyst your main duties will involve supporting Aon’s global benefits consultants in developing innovative global employee benefits strategies for multinational organizations. The role will entail researching, analyzing and evaluating strategies to help clients deliver competitive offerings with optimal financial efficiency. You will also be involved in delivering projects across a broad range of disciplines including cost analysis, market benchmarking, financing reviews and mergers & acquisitions.

 

The role is a good fit for candidates that have strong analytical problem-solving and organizational capability and communication skills. You can expect to work on a wide variety of clients/projects and also work with a broad group of Aon consultants and quickly get access to working with our clients directly. Candidates should have a strong academic record in a numerate of related field and have demonstrated team working and leadership in their academic careers.    

 

Primary responsibilities

  • Work with Aon’s global benefits consultants and Aon’s in-country teams to support client specific projects.
  • Support delivery of employee benefit solutions to multinational clients by identifying and evaluating client’s specific characteristics such as budgets, benefit needs, benefits philosophy etc.
  • Prepare and support in delivery of advice to clients.
  • Perform data and trend analysis.
  • Support implementation and use of Aon’s leading-edge employee benefit technology solutions.
  • Foster close working relationships across the firm and at the firm’s clients.
  • Maintain required professional qualifications.

 

Skills 

  • Demonstrate strong multi project management experience (project management experience is an advantage).
  • Ability to work within and deliver value in multi-cultural teams.
  • Strong focus on high quality work at all times.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a commitment to personal development.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.

 

Experience and Education 

  • Bachelor's Degree in a numerate, economics or business-related subject. At least an Upper Second Class or equivalent attainment.  
  • Demonstration of team working and leadership in academic careers.
  • Typically, less than three years-experience (no industry experience required). More experienced candidates will be considered for the role of Senior Benefits Analyst.
  • Excellent English language skills. Mandarin and/or Cantonese also an advantage.
  • Strong performance at related discipline internships an advantage.
