Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible to handle reinsurance related activities.
Candidate holding relatively less experience will be considered for the post of Deputy or Assistant
Reinsurance Officer.
Major Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Formulate reinsurance strategies aligning to the company’s underwriting strategies and risk management objectives.
- Formulate and implement underwriting & reinsurance strategies and manage daily operations of reinsurance inward and outward activities.
- Design, build and revamp existing treaty reinsurance program corresponding to the respective reinsurance needs under different types of risk written by the company.
- Exercise proper control on Nat CAT exposures through effective and adequate reinsurance protection.
- Develop close business relationship with other insurance companies in order to optimize business opportunities on reinsurance side.
- Underwrite reinsurance inward business up to authority limits according to the company’s underwriting plans & strategies.
- Manage premiums against budget to ensure adherence with business plan.
- Conduct quality assurance to check the accuracy of underwriting information to ensure that the risk is contract certain.
- Exercise effective credit control on premium collection and account reconciliation.
Requirements:
Candidates MUST have extensive knowledge & experience on general insurance underwriting and/or reinsurance within a general insurance company.
- Diploma, Degree holder or above.
- Possession of ACII/ ANZIIF (Snr Assoc) is preferred.
- 3 years’ relevant working experience in underwriting section.
- Aggressive, proactive at work & result-oriented.
- Work independently and able to work ahead of deadline.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing).
Basic Salary : Negotiable
