JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

• Must be able to handle projects from mood boards to a garments collection
• Work with Product Management to "translate" design direction or design line from mood boards into a physical garment collection for the US Textile Fashion Market.
• Implement collections onsite in the production countries for presentation to the customer
• Must be able to manage competing demands, meet deadline, uphold the highest standards of excellence in communication to establish and maintain strong relationships with team members
• In-depth knowledge of design techniques and processes
• Generating flat sketches and specs and ensuring garments are fit for production
• Helps develop styles and fabrics that are new, current and aesthetically appropriate for the customer, while adhering to production and costing requirements to ensure commercial feasibility

Requirements:

• Flexibility to deadline demands, seasonal schedules
• Adhere to the time and action calendar
• Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills, Timely sense of trends and market direction encompassing color, fabric, and silhouette
• Working knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, textiles
• Extensive Travel to production countries to implement collections with the factories "hands on"
• 5-7 years design experience, which includes fabric sourcing, technical design, trim development and color training and practical experience
• Proactive, driven, a confident communicator with a "can-do" attitude.
• Organized and able to prioritize
• Computer PC and CAD experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English & Mandarin.
• *willing to travel to China developing collection
