The Head of Diagnostics Division will report to Chief Executive Officer.
Candidates with less experience will be considered as Senior Manager of Diagnostics Division.

Job Overview

All diagnostics division staff report directly to the Head of Diagnostics Division in regards to all operations

The Head of Diagnostics Division manages all aspects of existing ultrasound services and laboratory services, identifies and develop future mobile ultrasound locations and manages education to sonographer recruits for the different mobile ultrasound services and the veterinarians of the Company and/ or the Group; as well as providing laboratory services for the veterinarians of the Company and / or the Group and developing those laboratory services Pan-Asia.  

• Supervise all diagnostic operations in Hong Kong and Singapore
• Business development in Asia Pacific for the Diagnostic Division, laboratories and ultrasound activities
• Training courses

 
Responsibilities and Duties

Ultrasound

• To manage all commercial, financial, human aspects of the existing and future diagnostic imaging services
• To train new scanning staff for the Hong Kong Mobile Ultrasound Service and other new mobile ultrasound branches
• To provide ultrasound education and training to veterinarians of the Company and / or the Group
• To manage the delivery of ultrasound seminars in Hong Kong for veterinarians of the Company and / or the Group and in elected cities for the future mobile service market
• To identify and develop future mobile ultrasound locations
  
  

Laboratory  

• To manage all commercial, financial, human aspects of the existing and future laboratory services
• To provide laboratory services to the veterinarians of the Company and / or the Group
• To organize regular Pathology seminars in order to support “Education Marketing” in the different markets
• To grow our laboratory business Pan-Asia in order to get economy of scale and position the Group as a leader in the field

General Responsibilities

• Obtain strong brand awareness and understanding of competitor activities in order to know the local community and customer needs
• Role model clinical excellence through your own active development plan while driving the capability of clinicians, engaging them to take up clinical focus topics
• Hold regular clinical meetings in order to encourage group learning and create agreed clinical frameworks to ensure the delivery of clinical excellence which is consistent between all staff.
• Lead and in charge of recruitment strategies & initiatives for Ultrasonographer through networking, headhunters, agencies, referral, alumni relationship to deliver optimal results   
• Know and understand the competition to ensure we attract and retain key people and actively talent spotting both internally and externally for key roles, keeping recruitment costs to a minimum
• Ensure probationary reviews and annual appraisals take place and that objectives are followed up on appropriately
• Review, interpret and prioritize financial results/budgets with other key people and put in place realistic plans and recommendations to address areas of concern
• Provide roster in line with legal time frames, making sure there are the right numbers of employees, with the right skills to meet customer demands
• Deliver key performance targets and client satisfaction
• Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
• Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company
• Identifies and researches potential new suppliers
• Researches new products and services to meet company's goals
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Surgeons with valid practising certificates in Hong Kong & Singapore
• Minimum 15 years’ relevant working experiences, preferably gained from clinic services of which at least 5 years at managerial level
• Key Skills Required
• Computer skills including Microsoft, Excel and Power point
• Be able to make decisions at pace
• Strong organizational skills  
• Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
• Proven experience of managing a team of people
• Strong customer service orientation
