Job Description

Community Business is a not-for-profit organisation (Hong Kong Charity Number 91/6560) whose mission is to lead, inspire and support businesses to have a positive impact on people and communities.  A recognised leader in advancing responsible and inclusive business practices in Asia, we are looking for a Senior Accounts Clerk to provide key support to our accounting and finance.  This is a role ideally suited for a professional who is self-motivated and passionate about impacting positive change.

Key Responsibilities

This is a full-time role reporting to a Senior Manager. This role will include, but not be limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the development and execution of Community Business’ strategy and programmes in Asia – maintaining our position as a thought leader.  This includes:
    • Project management;
    • Conducting research, supporting the research and analysis process, and proposing ideas;
    • Developing content for training and consulting;
    • Preparation of training and other presentation materials;
    • Drafting newsletters and communications;
    • Planning, executing, and supporting research launches, media briefings, events, workshops and seminars;
    • Coordinating with various parties including other teams, partners, and vendors;
    • Providing administrative support.
  • Working with Marketing & Communications Team to develop deliverables and communications to support the effective implementation of our research, programmes, and campaigns.
  • Networking and building relationships with key partners in the field of responsible and inclusive business practices, locally, regionally and internationally.
  • Keeping abreast of key developments relating to responsible and inclusive business practices, including legislative, cultural and social, regularly reviewing research and articles in the media and capturing for the benefit of the wider team.

Selection Criteria

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Degree holder or equivalent, preferably in a related
  • Passion for the subject of responsible and inclusive business practices and interest in issues relating to diversity and inclusion, with a keen interest to learn and develop subject matter expertise in these areas.
  • Strong organisational, project and event management skills, with the ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and different priorities concurrently.
  • Analytic and can work with data for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • A strong attention to detail - experience with proofreading and reviewing would be an advantage.
  • Has a critical mind, thinks creatively and has good problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills – oral, written and presentation – with fluent English and Chinese language capabilities.  Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work independently as well as a strong team player.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and enjoys working in a dynamic, stimulating and fast-moving environment.
  • Confident, with an interest to develop skills in meeting new people and interacting with key stakeholders.
  • Experience in research, public speaking and delivering presentations would be an advantage.
  • High degree of proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and similar platforms.
Salary

Salary will be commensuratewith the relevant experience of the successful candidate.
