Job Description

Job Purpose:   

“To be responsible for supervising the cashier team within a store to perform the cashiering functions and assist in executing internal control functions for store operations”

 

Key Accountabilities:

In addition to following Lane Crawford’s policies and procedures, key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Daily Cashiering Operations

  • To supervise the cashier team to handle daily collection of sales proceeds from the sales operations
  • To provide the cashiering function, including distribution of POS terminal floats, partial uplift of cash, checking to POS credit card settlement reports, handover of cash takings from store frontline at day end closing, coins exchange, bank-in of cheques from customers.
  • To monitor cash level and conduct uplift of cash and banking by Guard Force.
  • To prepare and handover of e-Gift Card to corporate customers
  • To issue and assist with the sale of e-Gift Card at POS terminals
  • To co-ordinate the setting up POS terminals and card terminals for road show / trunk show events
  • To review Cash Report and report the daily cash sales proceeds received and banking figure
  • To prepare the monthly realized exchange gains / losses recorded on foreign currency sales transactions

 

Sales Audit

  • To review and report irregular sales transactions, carry out investigation
  • To communicate and train Frontline staff on POS issues and new POS control functions

 

Compliance and Business Integrity

  • To ensure that financial practices are sound and in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and prevailing legislation as well as company guidelines, policies and procedures
  • To maintain appropriate internal control safeguards on the Company’s assets
  • To ensure that people understand and are complying with the procedures and processes
