Job Description

The role reports to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and will work closely with key stakeholders within the applicable sector(s), in particular supporting the Group Sector Head(s) and their central teams. The role is also responsible for co-ordination with the Regional finance business partners, and for collaboration with the Group stream finance business partner teams.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed analysis to support key account management for the sector(s)
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Monthly commentary on results
  • Collect, review and analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of sales, revenue and gross profit
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected changes
  • Work with the regional and Group FP&A teams to ensure correct and best practice accounting for the sector and take joint responsibility for the outcome
  • Influence streams and regions to improve the data flow for the sector
  • Work with financial systems and data integrity teams to improve quality of information
  • Responsible for key Budget/Planning assumptions and building the budgets and financial plans as appropriate for the sector

Requirements:

  • Qualified to degree level or similar, with an accountancy qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial experience, preferably in financial planning and analysis or business analysis
  • Confident, capable and credible with effective communication skills in English
  • Team player with positive ‘can do’ and proactive attitude, solution orientated and goal driven
  • Proficient in business analytical skills and Excel modelling
  • Computer literate with ability to use or learn SAP, Salesforce, Tableau and other
