The Accounting Manager is responsible for facilitating and ensuring budgetary control, making recommendations to encourage the continuous improvement of financial performance and implementing relevant policies within the business; assisting the organization in optimizing and integrating the key finance processes to improve efficiencies and maximize profit;

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of monthly management reports, quarterly financial forecasts and annual statutory financial reports in line with relevant policies and procedures;
• Support strategic initiatives and current developments with planning, budgets and strategies;
• Efficient management of working capital;
• Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues;
• Implement and maintain all financial controls and systems within the business, identifying and recommending potential operational inefficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures;
• Collaborate and coordinate with diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.);
• Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders;
• Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with 5-6 years’ commercial experience, gained within multinationals business, experience in aviation is an advantage;
• Degree holder of accounting disciplines with professional accounting qualification; MSc/MA is a plus;
• Dynamic and highly energetic executive with proven initiative and track record in providing effective financial leadership and direction;
• Solid experience in analysis and interpretation of business costs and the identification of corrective actions;
• Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes;
• Excellent organizational skills; outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities;
• Dynamic and highly energetic executive with proven initiative and track record in providing effective financial leadership and direction;
• Ability to work in a high performing culture with strong problem-solving skills;
• Ability to be a self-starter requiring a minimum amount of supervision;
• Possess utmost integrity and discretion and be highly regarded to be able to keep confidences and earn the trust and respect of team members and supervisor;
• Excellent communicator in English, Chinese and Putonghua with all levels of management;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) applications;
• Candidate with less experience can be considered as Assistant Accounting Manager.
