Duties:

• Lead a small team to manage daily accounting operation and financial reporting on the responsible units at the Army
• Be responsible for month-end closing and consolidation
• Prepare monthly management accounts and analysis report
• Monitor project spending and provide variance analysis
• Cash flow projection and management
• Prepare financial statement, audit report, audit schedules and profit tax filing
• Involve in financial system implementation/upgrade project, conduct User Acceptance Test
• Involve in financial policies and process improvement review and implement recommendations
• Enhance good working relationship with business unit team and give constructive advice where appropriate
• Perform any other legitimate duties assigned by the supervisor and management

Requirements:

• Understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army
• Degree in Accounting or Finance or related disciplines
• Qualified Accountant
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
• Experience in audit, shared service, FMCG or NGO is an advantage
• High proficiency in accounting systems, e.g. Oracle Financial System and MS Excel
• Good analytical and report writing skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work under pressure to meet tight schedule
• Good Command of English and Chinese (written and verbal), knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
