Job Description

Main duties

The main duties of a Clerical Assistant include:

(a) processing incoming documents;
(b) arranging filing;
(c) photocopying and verifying photocopied documents;
(d) receiving visitors;
(e) handling telephone calls received through the enquiry hotline;
(f)  replacing outdated copies of laws and regulations; and
(g) undertaking Chinese and English word processing.

Entry requirements

Candidates should:

(a) preferably have completed Secondary 5, or equivalent;
(b) have obtained (i) Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, or equivalent; or (ii) Level 2/Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language ("Syllabus B" before 2007) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent;
(c) preferably have three years' relevant work experience;
(d) have attained an English word processing speed at 40 w.p.m. or above and Chinese word processing speed at 20 w.p.m. or above;
(e) have knowledge of common computer applications;
(f)  have good knowledge of written and spoken Chinese and English; and
(g) possess initiative, and be self-motivated and responsible.

The Secretariat may devise further criteria to shortlist applicants. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend a skill test consisting of a typing speed test and a document formatting test.

Remuneration

The starting salary is $13,045 per month, increasing by nine annual increments to $22,865.  There is also a monthly cash allowance for the rank of Clerical Assistant (the current rate is $325 per month).  The successful candidate will be appointed on three-year agreement terms subject to renewal upon satisfactory completion of service, at which the appointee will be eligible for an end-of-agreement gratuity.  The gratuity, when added to the employer's contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme, is equal to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the agreement period.  Fringe benefits include paid leave as well as medical and dental benefits.

(f)  更換法例及規例新舊版本;及
(g) 執行中英文文書處理工作。

入職條件 

應徵者應: 

(a) 修畢中五較佳,或具備同等學歷;
(b) (i)在香港中學文憑考試中國語文科及英國語文科取得第2等級或以上成績,或具備同等學歷;或(ii)在香港中學會考中國語文科及英國語文科(2007年前的"課程乙")取得第2等級(即2007年前的"E級")或以上成績,或具備同等學歷;
(c) 具備3年相關工作經驗較佳;
(d) 英文文書處理速度達每分鐘40字或以上及中文文書處理速度達每分鐘20字或以上;
(e) 具備一般電腦應用知識;
(f)  中、英文講寫能力良好;及
(g) 處事主動積極及具自發性和責任感。

秘書處可制訂進一步的準則,以選出初步入選的申請人。初步入選的申請人或須參加技能測試,包括打字速度測試及編排文件格式測試。

薪酬 

入職薪酬為每月13,045元,並按9個按年增薪額增至22,865元,另有為文書事務助理職級而設的每月現金津貼(現時的津貼額為每月325元)。成功受聘人士會按合約條款受聘,為期3年,倘完成服務期而工作表現良好,可獲續約,並會獲得一筆約滿酬金,其款額加上僱主在強制性公積金計劃下所作的供款,相等於合約期內所得底薪總額的10%。附帶福利包括有薪假期、醫療及牙科福利。
