Job Description

PLACE now has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative and Communications Associate to join our team of creative professionals to support the smooth running of our Hong Kong studio from a non-design aspect. The position requires the day-to-day management of studio operations with a focus on administrative management, encompassing Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Compliance and Legal. We are looking for a highly energetic, well-organised individual with a willingness to help create a collaborative team based culture, while ensuring a productive, cost-effective and safe workplace. Ideally you will possess a proactive, personable, fun and professional approach with a desire to drive continuous improvement in the running of the studio.

A minimum of (2) years combined education and practical experience in an administrative capacity preferably with an architectural or Interior design practice (not essential). If you are a forward thinking and self-motivated with sound interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a dynamic and diverse team. Proficient in Google Suite, with a sound working knowledge of social media platforms, Cloud based CRM, project and accounting software tools then we want to hear from you. 

 

Skills, Abilities & Qualifications:

  • Experience of being solely responsible for supporting a small office/studio of around 5-10 employees (preferably within an Architectural or Interior Design practice)
  • F.5 - F.7 or DSE or qualifications related to business administration
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. (fluent in English and Cantonese)
  • Organisational, and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks
  • Exceptional people skills, along with patience and a collaborative working style
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • Robust multi-tasking skills and prioritisation with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional prioritisation and people skills with the ability to work under their own initiative
  • Assist in marketing, business development and general representation of PLACE
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with PLACE’s young team to provide support and guidance on all administrative matters pertaining to the studio or PLACE policies and procedures
  • Work with integrity, trust and commitment.
