Job Description

JOB DETAIL

Our company is a single family office and asset management company. Currently, we are in the process of applying for type 9 license and seeking a highly capable Fund Operation Manager/COO candidate.

  • Establish the middle back office operation, process and policy under CIO initiatives on pre license period
  • Responsible for day to day fund operations such as NAV and performance calculation, position and cash reconciliations, corporate action, trade settlement, cash management etc
  • Book trades and prepare P&L on a daily basis
  • Reconcile and coordinate between the portfolio managers/traders and outside counterparties to resolve any issues that may occur
  • Liaise with Custodian / Fund Administrator / Prime Broker or Private Banking platform on fund transfer and payment
  • Monitor collateral movement and capital usage for portfolio managers
  • Resolve settlement issues and processing questions dealing directly with the portfolio managers, prime brokers, administrator, and trading counter-parties
  • Prepare fund investment subscription and redemption documents
  • Assisting consolidated reporting to investment committee and other presentation materials
  • Support new business, new product development, system configuration, system support and implementing control
  • Ensure that all accounting and funds related policies & procedures are in line with the compliance and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Accounting degree or training preferred; or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics
  • Minimum 5 years experience in fund operations/fund accounting gained from asset management, hedge fund or fund administration
  • Solid knowledge in financial products in hedge fund or multi-asset-class asset management platform e.g. derivative, bond, equity, index, FOF
  • Deep understanding in investment operations workflow
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)
