Department of Biology

The appointeesare expected to provide administrative and secretarial support in all aspects of work for the Department. Duties include administering the undergraduate programme and daily office operation, serving as secretary for departmental committees, arranging departmental activities, assisting in the preparation of various annual reports, plus performing any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of relevant work experience. Effective communication skills with excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) are essential. They should have good interpersonal and organisational skills. Proficiency in MS office and Chinese word processing is required.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
