Department of Social Work

The Department seeks qualified candidate to support the following post for the ‘Career and Life Adventure Planning for Youth’ Project. This Project targets youth aged 15 to 21, including upper secondary school students and out-of-school youth (e.g. non-engaged youth, at-risk youth, early dropouts, etc.). Through a combination of school programmes, community-based services and tailor-made e-platform, the Project aims to build an effective, holistic and sustainable career and life planning model in helping the youth pursue their life and career goals.

The appointee will provide administrative and secretarial support to the operations of the Project.

Duties include:

- website maintenance;

- minutes taking;

- financial documents preparation;

- liaison with vendors for publications;

- award schemes monitoring; and

- other administrative tasks assigned by the community-based team.

Requirements:

- recognised degree with at least three years of relevant work experience;

- good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;

- competency in using MS Office and Adobe software applications;

- organised, proactive, efficient and highly motivated;

- strong in communicating with different stakeholders; and

- ability to work independently and as a team player.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Immediate availability is preferred.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year commencing May 2019 or the soonest possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
