A locally listed financial group is currently seeking a high calibre candidate for the following role:

Head of Legal & Compliance (Urgent!)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily operation and perform compliance review and investigation to ensure the company in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provide legal and compliance advice to business units to implement procedures to comply with all laws and regulations
• Provide advice operations and risk management units on regulatory compliance and internal control 
• Draft and review business contracts, agreements and other documentations in compliance with laws and regulatory requirements
• Liaise with internal and external parties for all legal and compliance related matters
• Maintain an effective licensing function
• Perform ad-hoc assignment as required 

Requirements:

• Degree in Law, Finance, Business or related discipline,
• Qualified lawyer is highly preferred
• At least 8-10 years experience in legal and compliance matters gained in financial institutions and/or regulatory bodies
• Well-versed in Securities & Futures Ordinance, Companies Ordinance and other statutory and regulatory requirements
• Professional, independent, pro-active, responsible  with strong problem solving skills 
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
